The Comedor review thread.

Refacciónes Rocimar
Diagonal 15 0-26 zona 1, close to Calle Rodolfo Robles, and Templo Minerva
what3words address: lloro.fútbol.pulsa

My favorite dish is the churrascos. Q18 and includes salad, tortillas and a drink.

Bench seating for 12 persons. There is a fish tank and a television with not too loud volume. Low ceiling bathroom has soap but no toilet paper. Dirty tables. Won't have change for Q100 bill on a charge of Q36 at hand, but if both owners are present, one will go to get change. But this takes a while, so best to ask prior to eating.

In summary, cheap and tasty, but you need sencillo and have to ask every time for someone to clean your table.

This place has 5 or 6 almuerzos sencillos, along with some more expensive dishes. I was looking for a hamburger on a Sunday--and they offer a hamburger and fries for Q15. Very tasty. A lemonade cost an extra Q10.

The menu shows breakfasts from Q20-Q40 served from 8 a.m. Also dinners. Pleasant atmosphere and very clean. There was a WiFi signal, but I didn't ask if they would share the password.

E. & E.
Across the street from Parque Benito Juarez and Pollo Campero.

Clean. Pleasant, not too loud music. Attentive waiter. Q15 buys a lunch complete with a natural fruit drink. Free refills on the drink and tortillas. What's not too like? I've eaten the longaniza there, and went back another week for the carne asada. Because they are open on Sunday, and close to St. Marks, this is my new favorite after church place.

Is it easy to get a table there, Christopher? It sounds amazing.

If you are asking about E. & E., I haven't been there at 1 p.m. on a weekday. However, because there is room to squeeze in more tables, I think they would have done so if they were short seating. So my guess is that you could go at any hour they are open and be seated immediately.
